My introduction

My major is Modern Korean History. Since the late 19th century, Japan has been playing a very important role in the Modern history of Korea. As a Korean history student, I should learn Japanese so that I can read some important materials in Japanese. That is why I decided to study Japanese. I am also very fond of Japanese novels. It would be fun reading my favorite Japanese novels in Japanese.

  2. I find it very interesting that you are studying Japanese to attain a deeper understanding of your Korean studies. Its nice to see that even though over the centuries there have been many bitter encounters between the two nations both sides can finally start to reconcile and address the fundamental importance of each other to their respective histories.

  3. Jisooさん!こんぼんわ。I agree with James. I do believe that tension exists and will continue to but this is one step towards a better understanding of the history and forming peace between the two countries, and you're a part of that! いちんえんせいのだいがくいんせいですか。Best of luck with your studies during the year!
